Dr. D'Adamo to supervise Personalized Medicine Shift at the University of Bridgeport
Fall marks the beginning of a new ‘Personalized Medicine Shift’ at the Naturopathic Medical Center of the University of Bridgeport’s Health Sciences Center. Supervised by Dr. Peter D’Adamo, the Personalized Medicine Shift seeks to tailor dietary programs to an individual’s unique biochemical needs. Over the course of your visit, Dr. D’Adamo and the six interns input the results of physical measurements and laboratory tests into computer software written by Dr. D’Adamo that prints out a detailed diet report compete with meal planner and recipe guide.
A full work-up by the Personalized Medicine Shift lasts about 90 minutes. The new patient visit costs $100 plus the base charge for clinic patients (usually $35-$45). It includes all necessary blood grouping and other genetic testing, all biometric measurements and fingerprinting, urine testing, breath hydrogen testing and body composition analysis. Followup visits are usually 30 minutes long and cost between $35-$45. Supplements, if prescribed, are in addition to visit cost(s). Physicians who refer clients to the shift will receive a full clinical chart report in addition to a full write-up on the client.
The Personalized Medicine Shift sees patients every Friday from 9:30 AM to 1:30PM. To learn more about Personalized Medicine and to arrange an appointment, please contact 203-576-4349 or visit the website.

Open-minded quote for the day:
"In science it often happens that scientists say, "You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken," and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion."
