Hi Deborah, I thoroughly understand why you're angry. You do have a case for your anger as far as the persuasion that resulted in the drying up of your mother's milk. But, maybe I can diffuse your anger a bit by a few observations of my own birth family.
I am B+ also. My mother was either a B or AB. My two sisters are AB. We three were breastfed. As a child I had the usual sore throats, measles, chicken pox, pneumonia, and had my tonsils removed. Also had earaches. My teeth were "soft" in that I have had cavities appear ever since I can remember. Visited the dentist inumerable times. My two sisters, however, had no cavities until they were going into adulthood.
As you know, Bs and ABs are not supposed to have corn syrup. We were not bottle fed but I'm know we had corn syrup in the house and mother used it often in recipes and also for making home-made syrup for pancakes. Of course we had other "avoids" as who knew then what we know now.
So, try to resolve some of your anger if you can. There are obviously other factors at work. Why did I get all those cavities and my sisters did not? We did not have soft drinks in our house and ate very "healthy" meals.
I do know about ignorant doctors. It makes me all the more determined to know as much about what I'm doing for myself and family as I can so I won't be caught up in someone's else's medically ignorant actions or advice.
Keep up the self-education. It works for me and it will work for you!
Kathleen (B+)
