People with high levels of exposure to DDT were four times more likely to have Alzheimer’s disease than people with only low levels of exposure, according to a recently published study.

this is why it is also important to make sure all eliminative organs (liver, kidneys, bowel/intestines, skin) are working to their maximum - right nutrients from ethical farmers, exercise, skin brushing, not eating too much in evenings, keeping up vegetables, green herbs, spices, fats to lubricate intestines.

Is DDT the same as Deet - the stuff thats put invery potent insect repellant's for skin use in tropical countries :-/

No,

DEET = N,N-diethyl-meta-toluamide

DDT = dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane

These are very different products, that are used for different things.

Use of DDT is still legal in a few countries.  Generally with some restrictions.  It is also sometimes used where is is not legal.

DDT is found is a variety of food products including human breast milk.


But the article was not about current use of DDT.  Instead the article dealt with people developing Alzheimer's today who were exposed to DDT in the 1940-1972 time frame.
