Yes eating foods high in antioxidants helps prevent cholesterol from oxidizing and hardening in to bad LDL particles.

Just ran across this You Tube video about iodine which explains how iodine is a widespread nutritional deficiency & the thyroid/cholesterol connection  :o:

Incredible........... I listened to the whole thing. I have been following some of this Dr. Wright's stuff for a long time that he mentioned.

Sahara gets the credit. I'm sure I would have run across Dr. Wright's messages about this if I had been more faithful to read them! I was up late last night researching this stuff and again this morning. I am understanding now why I was craving Greek yogurt all during the summer. (Even though it is a downright avoid for me now!) It is loaded with iodine. Thankfully, I have some spirulina squares at hand and have been eating them this morning. This video sheds light on why people like me react to iodine, and it is amazing to understand more about this now after all this time!! WOW!!! I am ecstatic! People had tried to get me to try kelp to get more iodine because I couldn't take supplements in the past thinking I might not react to it - I'm glad I went with my instincts and didn't try it because it is an avoid for me in SWAMI. SPIRULINA, here I come!! Thank you, Sahara, for helping get me informed about this VERY important part of our diet!
