BTD Forums  /  Supp Right For Your Type  /  Ate My First Unibar Today

Well, I finally had my first unibar today after my workout and YUMMY!  It was so wonderful, a real treat for me.  My youngest son was in heaven as well.  He said, "Mmmm, these are good, Mommy!"  I hope that I can continue eating them.  They are great for after workout and my husband has been eating them for a quick breakfast on the run.

They are also very filling!  It has been almost 3 hours since I ate it, and I am still not really hungry.  So, kudos to this product.  I am usually afraid of using flax, since it constipates me, but I think it is the raw flax that does it, and I am assuming this flax is at least low-heat processed.

Well, just wanted to give a good report and update!  I only wish my older son who is sensitive to eggs could eat them.  I will have to continue buying the Kirkman's pear bars with pea protein for him.  I am glad he likes those!  Any other O's have issues with eggs?  Just wondering.

My sisters are both Os who have issues with eggs but they don't seem to bother me so I enjoy the UniBars and also the egg protein used in Protein Smoothies.

I can't eat too many eggs, or they bother me. Several a week I can do. Chicken bothers me more.
I also recently had my first almond-blueberry bar, and it took me almost a week to eat the whole thing, between the jaw workout, and hunger satisfaction. Definitely worth the price.

depending on when you bought your unibars last, the new formula is more jaw friendly

Does the new formula taste better also?  I couldn't stand the old ones.  I wouldn't want to order them again if they are the same.

i did two 100 mile offroad mountain bike races this summer (11 hrs long) and the unibars worked amazing.  near the end of the race the uni bars were all i could stomach.

It is the NAP product that Dr. Dadamo developed good for all blood types.  It is a protein bar, with 2 flavors, blueberry almond and chocolate cherry.  I have only had the blueberry, but they are excellent.  A bit pricey though, but worth it...

Anybody tried the new softer version of the protein bars?

I would love to hear feedback as I'd like to try them myself...

The blueberry bar is OK. I personally didn't care too much for the chocolate cherry but that's just me.
