Don't know what's going on but the tip of my tongue feels like it's been burned. I noticed yest when I ate a tomato it really flared that burned feeling up. Acid, yes. I have had more tomatoes lately than for a long time but no more than 1/2 to 1 a day. That has never bothered me more. I'm thinking it could maybe be the Bromelain since I've been taking more of that in the past 2-3 days because of my foot. This is about how long my tongue has felt like that. Pineapple makes my tongue feel this way, but usually the whole thing. Anyone else ever had this experience?

Yes, I have had this experience, it's quite miserable, for awhile.  Fresh pineapple causes this for me, too.  There is something else that causes it too, but right now I can't remember what it is.

I have also had this problem.  At times my tongue seems also to split.  And sometimes I get tiny blisters inside my lips.  I try to eat "correctly" on a type O, so I do not know what could be the problem.  We are supposed to be able to have spicy foods, so I do not know what to do.  Please help

Echinacea Extract will do this as well, or some liquid forms of Bioflavonoids {Bromelain is one}.

I haven't been using echinacea as that's an avoid for me but have been using the bromelain and taking a Vit C that has Bioflavonoids, tho they're not liquid.

I was just reading in The Ultimate Healing System by Donald Lepore that a B-2 (Riboflavin) deficiency can cause "mouth sores, inflammation of the mouth, sore burning tongue (magenta colored tongue), and cracks on lips and corners of mouth."

Your problem could be caused by a combination of factors -- for example, a vitamin deficiency makes your tongue extra sensitive, and then the tomatoes really set it off.

I have noticed in days gone by, that other things tend to bother it a bit. Can't recall what tho. I did look at my tongue and I saw little tiny blisters. Still suspect the Bromelain as I haven't taken it for a couple of days and my tongue feels better. I'll be starting it up again today tho, so we'll see what happens. I'm also taking a B5 and B3, but that's not a B2 right?  ;D    Can you blood test for B vits?  I'm getting ready to go see the GYN, so as I'll have thryroid tests run, thought I'd throw a few more in there.  :)

Testing for B12 deficiency is common.

A quick google search found blood tests for:

Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Niacin (B3), Pantothenic Acid (B5), Vitamin B6, Biotin, and Folic Acid
