"Favorite Avoids" is one of those Golden Threads. I was very thankful tonight that after a stressful day, I had no inclination towards grabbing avoids and buying them to munch on driving home. But I did think, "hmm.....I could make a very tasty black dot tonight for once a week!" and I did. I could not eat this black dot last year without getting sick afterwards. What a change SWAMI has made in my life!
I always eat my "best-dot-I-can-get-away-with" with tasty diamonds. Mine is eggplant.
What's yours, and why?

black tea- and I treat it as neutral drink it every morning and wont stop. Never understood why coffee was supposed to be better for me than black tea I love green tea( diamonds but it is not right in the morning - I need a strong indian tea without anything . Oh yeah harvarti cheese I treat that as neutral as well - I have so MUCH dairy super or diamonds( and only a few blue cheeses as avoids) so unless you Americans do something to YOUR harvarti it doesn´t make sense . but I really have very little * dots... |

It's not listed...but I am making a well educated guess...if it was listed it would be at least a black dot if not avoid 'Fresh Cream"- yummmm! So, for as long as I can stick my head in the sand (until it appears on TypeBase ) It is my Sunday Morning treat- pancakes, jam and whipped cream- heaven! I don't get to eat many carb based 'treats' so this once weekly pigging out is my black dot sin! |

Black dots .. just these is what I would have liked here and there. Pizza, Bacon, Oats, Pears, Prunes, Persimmon, Melon...
(Other foods : Icecream - breads - bananas any desert, any food with friends. )

My favorite "black dot" is cinnamon, since I can eat it freely without any bad reactions. It's the only "black dot" food I've tried that I don't react to. Not that I've tested ALL of them, but most of them are OK if I eat one portion, but if I eat a second portion in the same week, symptoms return. Even a second portion the same month is pushing it. No way could I have a black dot every single week! |

My favorite black dot food is either beef or pumpkin...
I grew up eating both and really enjoy them prepared so many ways. Just had my beef fix for a while last night. I usually get enough pumpkin at Thanksgiving for a little while, but pumpkin custard - the pie filling without the crust - is one of by favorite low-sugar desserts.
I understand why I shouldn't eat beef often, but haven't studied enough to know why about pumpkin yet. |

Dark Chocolate! It made me feel good and not raising the blood sugar but black dot.
I was down to 0.75 once divided 3 times a day and finally stopped. It took 6 month. I miss it. |

I've been getting my pumpkin fix this way for years. Who needs the crust, anyway? Asparagus is my rare black dot treat, but a not-so rare snort of Glenmorangie is essential for my health. A little sin is good for the soul. |

I am very curious when you eat almost 100% from diamond and beneficial, what small quantity black dot does to your body, less than 1 ounce chocolate a day in my case. I still miss dark chocolate. |

I´ve just recently been ´SWAMIED´and notice that rhubarb is avoid, not even a mere ´black dot´ But as I only have it (in a crumble or pie made with rice flour crust) once or twice a year I intend to continue having my "rare treat"!! Fortunately most of my diamonds and supers are foods I like, and eat, anyway |

well it depends on your health - I am healthy so I eat food mostly diamonds and super foods- and a whole lot of neutral = thats is REAL food all of it - no c**p no additives etc - I add a bit of black dots mainly tea- and once in a while some well chosen avoids that I have no real sideeffects to and that makes my life happier |

It depends on the individual and the reason for the black dot status... According to The Genotype Diet book, the black dot foods may significantly slow healing and /or may cause weight gain - at least those are the reasons given to increase compliance again... |

We all have to make lifestyle decisions as we see fit... Rhubarb is avoid for everyone per BTD and (as far as I know) GTD, but my family has a wonderful rhubarb pie, so I will probably partake once every several years or so... |

Nobody gets pork. jayneeo, you want manchego cheese? OK.....I will gladly give you my beneficial manchego cheese in exchange for......let's see....what do I want. Anyone want to give me their lobster? Crab meat? Something yummy from a seafood restaurant? Something I can dip in melted ghee? Drooling as I type! I think I might have to make this request to a Hunter, right? |

I grew up in a town known for its pie... not the American sweet sugary kind, but skinny crust, some custard and fruit layd out each piece in its own space. Cut like a pizza and the size of one, Yammi. I loved the rhubarb, there is not much on it, the cheese and onion is delish also... Fridays is the day they make these, and walking past a bakery is near impossible when I am back home. But I don't get home often. I am glad not to live at home, resisting all such foods would be way to hard. I never thought about that, yet it seems providence provided me with a life where food choices are much easier. |

Portobello mushrooms are a favorite of mine grilled or stir fried they are great. They taste like meat without eating meat.
Vanilla is another favorite of mine. Love it in sweet potatoes, desserts and vanilla wafers. |

Do you get sweet potatoes? If so, I"ll trade you one package of my compliant portobello mushrooms and whole bottle of vanilla for one sweet potato. (a toxin) Deal? |
