I visited my doctor for the annual checkup.  It had actually been about two years and my triglycerides were up to 150 (ldl/hdl ratio is good) and he wants me to loose about 10 pounds.  I am type O, male BMI about 29 and have tried to follow this diet  for years and have not had any success in loosing weight although I feel a lot better and have a lot more energy.  Anything I might have missed or that would make it easier to loose weight?

What do you do for exercise? Do you get omega 3's? (I think omega 3's might be a triglyceride modifier, but also affect metabolism)

How much carbs and what do you intake.

Do you know your Secretor Status so you can further fine-tune your food list?
Or are you following the Genotype Diet?
Or the SWAMI?

For many people, one of the programs works better than the others.

Do you eat breakfast? do you eat after 5pm? sometimes simple changes will make the difference.

The pantethine is an interesting idea, since I admittedly don't get enough exercise.  What would be the approximate length of the treatment and then what would be the maintenance dosage level?  Does it have any side-affects?

I discovered I need pantothenic acid to control blood sugar. Maybe I will loose weight too.

It seems if digestion is bad then you don't get B vitamins. It could be bad from wrong diet and cardio problems (me).

The situation is less likely with Type O, but some explorers have stomach acid reduction. Gatheres might from excessive blood sugar or something. Hunters might from severe stress.

Any which way I think the OP might have a few ideas towards what the stall is now. But I will say I have not seen a BT O person not lose weight by really busting their rump exercising.

I exercised more aggressively in the past but back problems forced me to cut back to walking at the rec of my chiropractor.  My BMI still didn't get below 28, with 45 minute sessions on the elliptical trainer.  Maybe I was doing the wrong types of exercises or eating too large of portions.  What are the best exercises for O's, other than running?

Anything high intensity. A lot of activities can simply be taken to high intensity level. Rowing, biking, aerobics, and anything else that'll let you really go at it hard.

Are you 10 pounds over your "ideal weight" or are you 20-30 pounds over, and your doctor thinks that losing 10 pounds will help your health even if it won't bring you to the "ideal weight."

If you "just can't seem to lose those last 10 pounds" then it could  be that you're already at a healthy weight for you personally.

However, if you're 20 or 30 pounds overweight, and the excess weight won't budge, then there's probably something in your diet/exercise routine that's not quite in balance yet. You may need more exercise, or lower portions of grains, or more vegetables.

That's awesome. Much better than all the seperate things. I was on the seperate but it didn't work when I wasn't really digesting stuff right, and couldn't metabolize much of anything (pantothenic acid deficient I guess). I went through a lot of money on supplements not working. I'd love to try it now and not feel like I am wasting money (and lose weight). I'm really curious what it'd do now... ASAP I'll be trying it.

Depending on the BMI calculator I am getting somewhere between ideal weight and 30% body fat using a caliper (salad tongs) method...

Nope, no way to subscribe. Either the software can't support it, or the software supposedly has that feature but it doesn't work properly so it was turned off a few years ago. In any event, there's no way to sign up for email notifications from this website.
