Tomorrow I begin on Dr. D.s 3-pack plus the Larch powder as recommended at the bottom of my SWAMI diet report.

My question is, "If I have iodine deficiency, leaky gut and gum health concerns, will this basic program work or is there additional Dr. D. products recommended for the above symptoms?"

If there are other products, I would think my SWAMI would have recommended them based on my health profile. Although I think Standard Process is a top quality brand of supplements, I'm trying to break away since many of their supplements contain beef, pork, dairy, etc.

Thanks for any feedback.

I am not sure that SWAMI knows about iodine deficiency and gum health.

I do not recall any direct questions on either issue.

I think it is little much to expect a computer program to make recommendations in areas that is no data to indicate a need.

For me SWAMI is primarily about recommending food/diet recommendations to improve a persons health.

To me that supplement recommendations are an added added bonus, but these recommendations are not as fine tuned to address specific health conditions as the diet portion.

The recommendations also only cover D'Adamo Nutrition Center product and not all health concerns are necessarily treated with these products.

There is a limited number of supplements that one afford to take or make sense to. So yoy may want to try just the SWAMI supplements for a time to see if you need more.

Either metabolic or moneywise or both!

Yaeli, can you explain what you mean in your last sentence?  ...contraindication???,  NAP supps = Dr. D.'s???...   What is the difference (contradiction?) between those two products???

I've seen Dr. D's recommendation that quercetin and green tea should be avoided within a half hour(?) of trehalose, but turmeric?

Sorry for the unclarity... Sometimes there's a clach between medicines and foods, or supplements, or herbs, etc.

What I meant is the instruction not to have 2 or more supplements together.

NAP (North American Pharmaceuticals) was the former name of the company producing and marketing Dr. D's supplements. The present name is DPN: D'Adamo Personal Nutrition, I should use this and not NAP.

Re Trehalose Complex, Dr. D's recommendation is to take it away (one hour away) from green tea, , coffee, curcumin and quercetin.

Yes, curcumin, the main active substance in turmeric, was added a bit later.

Directions: Stir Trehalose powder into water with a squeeze of lemon or mix Trehalose with a beneficial juice. Mixing in a spoonful of ARA 6 - Pure Larch Powder will increase its effectiveness. Dr. D'Adamo recommends taking Trehalose an hour away from green tea, coffee, curcumin or quercetin.

   i've been taking Trehalos complex alongside with Scienca  for nearly 2 years. Oh well

This is how my morning looks like:   First thing I take a glass of lukewarm water with squeezed lemon juice and 1 level tbs of Trehalose Complex stirred into it. Then I let one hour until I drink my first green tea..... During this hour I take the Polyflora, Acetyl l-carnitine & Alpha Lipoic Acid, Deflect, and Histona Ulterior or Genoma Security. When I get to the green tea, I take also the medicinal mushrooms (chaga, agaricus/maitake) which are rich in quercetin and antioxidants, and THEN let half an hour before breakfast (and breakfast supps).... If this dance begins at 6:00 AM, then around 8:00 I am through and ready to proceed...

Beside the point, upon reading this I suddenly see myself srolling down Well Walk, Hampstead, London, eyeing the mansions, and asking myself, How much do these people afford? How much do they need? and also, Would I be happy to reside in one of those?
