I am curious about chia...it is a neutral for me, while flax is a superfood (per my swami).
I checked out the omegas on each to see if the ratio of 3's to 6's was different, and they were quite close with flax having a slight edge on the 3's. Could thaat be it? but chia is yummy and doesn't go rancid...and is high in 3's also.
Love chia.

my Battle dwarf loves the stuff (chia) has a spoonful everyday. I do think they taste better than flax seeds so I think I to use them more. In the end that would make them "better" for us. If you don't eat something it's not going to do you much good. I was afraid my last flax seeds were to old so I feed them to the chickens (Omegas 3 rich eggs ) I've since gotten more. but I eat the chia and have to look for ways to use the flax. mostly I put in my bread and my salad dressings.

Since I started eating chia seeds last year, I have gradually lost my desire to eat flax.  I'm prone to IBS if I don't keep my diet very balanced, and chia is much more soothing to my gut.  Sometimes it feels like flax is a little harsh.  I've switched to keeping flax oil in my fridge and putting a tsp in my smoothie, then the ground chia gets mixed in also.

Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are.
Let me not pass you by in quest
of some rare and perfect tomorrow.
