I am a Type O as well and started following the diet eating mostly beneficial foods) about 4 months ago. I also started a vigorous exercise program as well jogging at least 3 miles everyday. I was always tired and sore before but now I average about 6 hours sleep a night and feel great. Just had my physical and my cholesterol level before was borderline high but now it is at 170 and blood pressure is also good. I just wish I could convince more type O's to try this diet because it sure has helped me. Forgot to mention losing 30 lbs. also

I suspect my father is non secretor who lives abroad and has had heart bypass, and sent him also to do the saliva test!
My Hats off to YOU and YOUR Wonderful Brilliant in-depth research you have given Mankind Generous GIFT!!! L., London UK"

I started the "diet" back in May and have lost over 20 pounds, thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! I need to find a Dr in the Milwaukee area preferably one that works with my UHC insurance. I'm 51 and on my way to losing my extra pounds, and my next step is smoking, I am  exercising 6 times a week, I joined the Y so I have options to staying in shape but I don't want a Dr to supervise my health care using traditional methods. I want someone who understands your principles and will help me adapt to my body needs. I want to make sure I am doing " all the right stuff" to maximize my health and well being.  Please add me to your mail-list for flyers, events etc. I want all that I can get out of this!!!  Thanks you and Have a great day!

"I have been a blood type diet follower for years and love your research and products. I want to share with you how your vision has crossed over to my pets.

I have two dogs, one a pure breed Viszla and the other a rescue part Shepard, part retriever, etc. I had been feeding them the same food and the same amount. The Viszla has maintained a very good weight, but the rescue got so overweight that he started to limp when he walked and was miserable.
So it made me wonder if dogs had different blood types, and if the same reason I felt better on my diet might apply to him.

I found out there are 3 different blood types for dogs and since I had been feeding them a dog food that had rice as a first ingredient - I started to feed the rescue a food that had mostly meat and no grain.
Within 5 months he lost 20 pounds and is no longer limping and is not only healthier, but a much happier dog!

Thank you so much for all you do- human and canine"

My husband and I both love your blood type food. I'm B, he's A. We are both non secretors. Your diet has changed both our lives and "cured" 2 common issues. His, heartburn. Mine, IBS
His heartburn was changed instantly, which made me decide to try it. I never expected it to "cure" by IBS.
Thank YOU Thank you. I am amazed that this is so unknown.
It is a cure all, I am certain.

I started the Eat Right For Your Blood Type mostly because I was having such terrible skin problems. 2 Weeks ago I committed and decided something had to be done. I didn't realize how much losing weight would be a side effect of the diet. I have lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks. The weight is just pouring off and I am excited because I could never get the scale to tip in my favor. I know this is the right life choice for me! Also, I already see changes in my skin!

I'd been dabbling in the ERFYBT for years when believe it or not, I got diagnosed with Crohn's disease....it finally explained my need for so much sleep! Buckling down and changing what I ate got rid of my symptoms. I hope my next colonoscopy shows what I suspect: that the ERFYBT is saving my GI tract. Cutting out wheat and reducing dairy for some of the rest of my family has made a big difference in their health as well. The fact that my kids know about the Blood Type Diet means that they know that they can make choices as they get older about how they want to eat. They already see the benefits in themselves, and in Mom. I find that coffee, wheat, dairy, and peanuts are the things I have cut out most successfully, but boy do I miss coffee! Now for the rest...

I've lost 10 pounds eating red meat for the last 2 years and have kept the weight off. I found that it is almost effortless keeping the weight off when I eat red meat. My stomach doesn't feel bloated or ill like it used to when I ate wheat products, peanut butter, and pork.

Testimonial dadamo.com: "Dear Dr. D'Adamo,
Thank you for your hard work and for your years of research! At the beginning of this year I had a number of health problems, mainly a bad uterus (fibrods) and severely anemic. I've had several surgeries with the doctor wanting me to return to the knife again.
I prayed to God and was directed to Eating based on my blood type. What can I say!?! I sleep all night, go to the bathroom at least once everyday, my blood sugar is regulated, my blood count is up, and no heartburn or acid reflux. My skin cleared up, hair is growing, I think clearer and without trying I am down 4 dress sizes and taken off 8 1/2 inches off my waistline. I lost over 30 lbs in my first 30 days!!! I have shared this information with over 50 people who just want to feel better.
I just wanted to share my 5 month journey of faithfully following this program, 8 months now and even though I wavered in the bread and sugar... I'm determined to make it a lifestyle change for my life.
I write my own recipes, but I've tried the listed ones also. Several family and friends want me to write a book about what I did.
This blessed my life and my husband and son encourage me daily by telling me 'avoid it' and that sounds so much more appealing than saying you can't have that.

Sincerely,"

"Dear brother,
I appreciate the contribution you are doing to the globe. Since last week I came to realize eating according to my blood type plays a lot, after i had discussion with my chiropractic doctor, Selam, here in Ethiopia. she told me to read your book and yesterday I found and started reading. I found it very amazing and encouraging, even it changed my understanding and opened my inner eyes to see differently than before. now I am writing to you to have some help regarding written documents, specially your book. I am reading the Amharic version.
stay blessed,

Hello Dr. D'Adamo. First of all thanks to you and all your people for this extraordinary work that you are doing; it's amazing how much this is helping to a lot of humans .I will start from the beginning; I'm a 44(45 in December)years old woman, virus c positive(diagnose in 1991 with a normal level of transaminase always), that I'm breastfeeding two little girls; one is 3'9 years old and the wee one is 13 months old. I'm a O rh - gatherer(i guess secretor) trying to follow your guidance since January this year. Well, I'm sure you have enough work with all of us, Thanks already, Mercè xx Love and health xx

Hi, and thank you for your work.  After being diagnosed with celiac disease, I stopped eating wheat, then since I was not bloated and in pain 100% of the time, I started noticing that other foods hurt me and after about a year I learned about lectins and then the list made sense !  You are definitely the best source of information I found on lectins. Your book is great.

guess I should add my two cents...2 years ago, I came out of a hemorrhoid surgery with a surprise. The general surgeon said I didn't have significant hemorrhoids, and he certainly couldn't operate on them because it was highly likely that I had Crohn's disease, and suggested I follow up with a GI guy. I had already dabbled in the ERFYBT diet out of interest, but once I got this diagnosis, I re-read the books and went strictly on the diet. Within a week, my symptoms were gone. Since then, I've paid attention to symptoms I didn't know were symptoms, like chronic fatigue, and saw that my diet really made a difference. So now I have SWAMI, and am working on adjusting my diet according to Dr. D's suggestions, and my body's cues. I hope to have things in working order when i see a new GI guy in December, and am hoping for a good colonoscopy (sorry if TMI) after that. I'm still not perfectly following the diet, but getting closer...chocolate? that's hard to give up.

I have been on the diet almost what, six months now? Am almost completely compliant, don't miss meat (yuk!), nor dairy, not even bread. And that was my weakness. I would take butter on toast over a steak any day. But cutting the bread was what I needed to do away with my arthritic pain.

I had heard about this years ago in my twenties and tried it for a bit. But when you're young you don't often care until you gotta pay it back when you're older. So glad I "re"found it and don't think I'll ever go back. I feel too good.

"Dr.D'Adamo, I have a couple of your books in my personal library and they take pride of place amongst the many I have on health and fitness. Your explanation and reasoning, supporting your ideas is very logical and refreshing from someone with the letters of Dr. in front of their name. Obviously you are more interested in real health and helping man than in the support of the Drug companies.
Bravo to you sir, you Dr.D'Adamo are a revolutionist and I can only hope that more persons interested in healing do so along the true line of natural means than that which is the norm. Thankyou."

I heard about the blood group lifestyle many years ago (2004) but got the result back wrong from dr's thinking i was B. Ate wrong piled on weight and decided this isnt for me and left it alone. In 2008 had my first boy, rocketed up to 105kg from 75kg. Knowing we wanted more kids didnt really do much to loose weight.
We were blessed with another baby boy and once again i rocketed up to 105kg. But this time there were a few problems. One morning i woke up and remembered the 'blood eating thing' so got off my tushy and googled it etc. Had my step mum who has lived by this for almost 20 yrs to help....Obviously i was cleaning my blood. I had massive headache for days. A lot of mucous in the mornings. But then as of the 4th week it was refreshing! For the first 6 months i was loosing 2.5kg a week!!!! I am now very proud to say im 70kg and happy with it esp after having 2 gorgeous boys. I went from size 16 TO 10 in 2 years. i want everyone to be happy and healthy!!! Thank u xo

I have tried. I have seen my fathers and sisters health diminish with the introduction of excessive quantities of chicken (and tomato and corn.) I grew up not eating chicken because my father (the B) never liked it and my mother (O) thought the hormones in it made children go into premature puberty. My family has even witnessed my health improve because of this lifestyle - this coming from a woman who grew up as a very sick girl. I was always in the doctor's office, always on antibiotics, etc. My sister tells her doctor friends about me, how I reversed GERD, allergies, depression, anxiety, fatigue, etc. She tells everyone. My mother does the same. Yet, they cannot find a way to do it for themselves.

I also started taking magnesium about 3 weeks ago, am fighting, and believe winning the battle, against MS.  Had speech, vision & balance issues, found the GenoType diet, started it and added magnesium and noticed an improvement in 20 minutes, but it would wear off after several hours.
Now, about 3 weeks later, I notice a lengthier gap between taking the magnesium and symptoms, my voice is improving, vision is way better, I believe I will have to go for an eye exam very soon, and I no longer feel like I will fall down all the time, and I feel less 'passing out tired' in the daytime, it had got that bad!
A thousand, no, million, thanks to Dr. D'Adamo who I believe saved my life.
This way of eating is definitely the way to go for health.  And such a simple change too.
Such a pity I wasn't taught all this when way younger, just glad I know now.
