I am purchasing components to follow the Male Health Protocol outlined in the ER4YT Blood Type Encyclopaedia.  Peruvian balsam bark is a component for my Blood Type B.

The specific quote is : "Peruvian Balsam Bark (Myroxylon pereira) 50 mg: 1-2 capsules daily". I cannot find capsules to buy.

The bark's use seems to be confined to producing an oil for aromatherapy, topical applications, but not as an internal medication.

My questions are:
1-Is Peruvian Balsam bark used in capsule form? If so, where can the capsules be purchased?
2-In the list of protocols in Dadamo.com the components L-Arginine and Peruvian Balsam bark listed in the Blood Type Encyclopaedia are replaced by Nitricycle and Quercetin. If I cannot obtain the capsules, which of these can be substituted for the balsam bark?

A Chinese herb apothecary is a great source for locating 'uncommon' single, herbs and premade herbal formulations .

Everyone, thank you for your help. I live on Saint Lucia, a 238 square mile eastern Caribbean island with a total population of 160,000. There are no Chinese apothecaries on the island, so it seems my search will be even more difficult.

Does anyone have a response to my second question about whether Nitricycle and Quercetin available for purchase on the Blood Type website are suitable subsitues for the Balsam Bark?

1: It should be the Resin that is used (?) - And there are various methods of extracting the resin from the bark....And once dried some resins can look very much like a bark powder when ground.
2: The Nitricycle contains the L-Arginine among other things - I don't possess the Encyclopedia, but if you are serious about Max. results, I doubt that it would be good to mix the different regimens - go one or the other...The other ingredients of Nitricycle are more readily available in commerce.

However, you should be able to find a specimen of the Myroxylon pereira growing somewhere in your bioregion...

THe Quercetin is a "bark powder" Bioflavonoid from the pith of various fruits.
