I need advice/opinions.
I was planning on a couple dental implants in the future, but now I'm worried.

I have had dental implants for over 10 years and I am not aware of any problems they have created.  I'll see my dentist this week and ask what his take is.

Hi!   My only concern is if you have bruxism, you may have problems.

I am like the "King of Bruxers".  My dentist says he has never seen anything like it.  I do wear a "night guard" which helps a lot.  I have not noticed any problems with my implants in the past 10+ years.  Just saying.

grinding and clenching can be UNleanred .. put a piece of cotton or gauze between your teeth and you will eventually stop doing it.. keep it even in day time if you can ..

Some people have problems with them.  My dentist uses an expensive non metal one.

Did you see my other posting on brdgees and implants???  

I know nothing about that BUT I would like to know more.. I think non metal might be a better way to go..

I also think they learn from people like me.. so yes.. where to look???

I would swallow the gauze if I left it in at night.

not once its wet.. make it wet before inserting.. or you gag.. a msall piece .. just between the teeth..

I'd be afraid it would work itself to the back of my tongue and maybe choke me!  ??

Ll....I think the best is no more infos from that panic creating guy called Mla....I threw him out when he begun to claim false issues over BTD ...

I had few choices.. then and now .. so just ask the right questions, and be aware ....life is what it is.. but I might research the non metal stuff.. although that is new plastics.. maybe again something to 'experiment' with.. but the life is on experiment.. good luck .. no matter what.. and obviously many people do not have any problems.  and your teeth will most likely not be front teeth?..

so may I reccomend strongly to replace the missing tooth with a PARTIAL   .. much less expensive and you can add teeth as you need to..   use to be real chaep in some states.. over one weekend.  

Could we hear from some of you who have gotten partials?  

How have they worked, and how do you like them?  
Any problems or difficulties?  
What are the long term effects on the adjacent teeth?  
Any effects on the bones beneath them?

I wear a partial Victoria.
It's ok, but I would much prefer to have a permanent solution.
I guess it comes down to a question of pride, sigh.
I'm big enough to admit it !!
I have to say that besides having to take it off at night, it's been
great versus having a few missing teeth in the back.
I imagine that it's also way better to chew and digest food and
especially since I do love to eat !!
I haven't noticed any problems since the 7-8 years that I've had it.
Oh every few years perhaps the dentist will tighen it if it gets loose,
but I haven't had the need for it in the last 5 years.
I give it good reviews to be truthful.
