"I can't believe it" - but I CAN.....

Awhile back I was trying to describe to Amazone I. and others why I was so "on the verge" of bulimia whenever grass pollen was outstanding in the air. I said "it's as if my body thinks the grass is part of another seed plant - the grains that are my avoids - like I'm already ingesting avoids"

The long-searched "proof in the Pollen Pudding" : grass pollen almost identical to cereal pollen

http://seillevalley.com/IdentifyingPollen.htm (slides)

Grass pollen is another one of my "avoids" because of the proteins.
Dr. D., thank you for your article because I am tempted to say grass pollen is a "bad" lectin for me: http://www.dadamo.com/science_lectins_mitogens.htm

"... Many mitogens are "lectins" only if we enlarge the category to include monovalent molecules with high carbohydrate affinity......"

I hope I can hear back from others with eating disorders about their experiences with environmental allergies opening the door to unhealthy responses to food!

More relevant to this site, I would like to know if this type intolerances to the proteins are prevalent in Nonnies. Nonnies, please speak up
