I just tested my urine to check for acidity and it's reading 6.0 (slightly acidic) after three tests on consecutive days. I've tested fine before so I don't know if it's just something temporary or something I should try to address. I checked the foods that make your body acidic or alkaline and it doesn't seem I'm overdoing it on either side. I also eat at least 98% from my swami list. Maybe an herb I'm taking? Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe something that worked for you. Please keep my blood type in mind. |

6 in my mind is not all that far off.
You did not stay time of day that you took the measurement. |

Dr D Urine acidity doe not correlate typically with uric acid levels in the body. In fact urine acidity does not correlate with acidity in the body, since the body removes hydrogen ions from the blood to keep it alkaline, so in fact a slightly acid urine often means that the system is working well.

Thanks for the help, here's some answers to your questions.
I took the test first thing in the morning Normal is supposed to be at least 6.75 according to this test, so I was thinking it's only slightly acidic I have Lyme disease so I have a lot of health problems to lengthy to discuss here, but I've been feeling worse lately so I'm trying to find ways to help myself through this "set back in healing"
So should I compare this test with a saliva test? Maybe I'm just dumping a lot of acidic fluid right now? |

It might be a point of so higher in the evening, placing you above 6.75. |

don't worry normally your ph of urine is changing due to what is your intake of nutrition and the amounts of liquidity as well..... and then good to know it curves up and donw all 2 hours...similar to TCM's meridians activities |

I could never get mine about 6.5 except for once in a blue moon. So I stopped worrying about it. Even when I was drinking tons and tons of water and lemon water. And I'm very strict about my foods.
My doctor also said it was a non issue and not to worry about it. I'm sorry to hear about your set backs. I'll be saying a prayer for you. |

If I become nervous about something, mine won't budge out of the acidic area. A lot of extra activity will make mine lower too. Which, in my opinion in that instance, is a very good thing!! |

So I guess it's nothing to worry about I was mostly concerned because it used to be 7.0 and my health has declined so I thought maybe it was related. Thanks everyone! |

Well, you know your body. And there could be a correlation. But the "why" is the bigger question I think. You said you haven't felt as well, so there is a reason. It might be making your urine more acidic. But I doubt that in itself is what's doing it. I think it might just be a symptom.
I could be all wrong. But that's my thoughts. |
