Are you among the masses here in the USA that prefer Folgers?
If not, what's your favorite coffee?
Method of brewing?

Never could stand the strong, bitter taste of Starbucks!  I am super caffeine sensitive so drank decaf for years, buying Newman's (Green Mountain) fair trade organic decaf whenever it was on sale.  THEN I discovered Teeccino which is not only no caffeine but also no acid!

My first experience with Teeccino was at a "healthy coffee bar" where they serve only Teeccino or tea.  It was one of their flavors - I think it was vanilla nut. It was too strong and much too sweet for me but my husband liked it, so I bought a bag of the Teeccino Maya French Roast which has no dates (the sweet taste that I didn't like) in it.  Then, following Teeccino's instructions, I started mixing a small amount of it with the coffee and gradually increasing the Teeccino and decreasing the coffee.

At this point I use 1/4 decaf coffee and 3/4 Teeccino and only use 2 scoops (packed tight) of that combination for a Mr. Coffee drip pot with water to the 7 cup level on the coffee pot (that's about seven 6 oz cups!!!). A "scoop" is the plastic scoop that comes in most coffee cans. My husband likes it, but I add extra water in my own cup to even this "weaker" version.

If you look at only the cost per bag Teeccino seems expensive, but when you consider that you use quite a bit less the price "per cup" comes way down!  You can buy it on Amazon (I do) or at upscale/natural food grocery stores or even direct from Teeccino on line but that's fairly pricey.

Since A's are only supposed to have one cup of coffee a day - or at most one every few hours, and since I am happiest with 3 cups of coffee tasting hot liquid in the morning this combination and keeps me compliant and satisfied.

Oh yeah - in case any O's read this thread:  Teeccino is NOT coffee!  You can drink it and stay compliant.

My wife is biased to like Starbucks coffee.  But we're taking about those expensive drinks that have a little bit of coffee and a lot of cream and sugar and flavorful oils and garsh knows what.

Myself, I like a plain cup of Columbian, black, no sugar.  Omar is my favorite brand, but the supermarket store roasts are fine, too.  I will buy Starbuck pre-ground because I can turn the bag in and get a free cup at a store.  I use a drip coffee maker.

My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant.  Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index.  DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer.

After my conversation with my friend who was a coffee buyer I will never buy ground coffee again, it's the broken beans and sweepings off the warehouse floors.

I buy a locally roasted fair trade coffee bean and I use a toddy coffee cold brew system.

I just followed your link.
The article doesn't say that masses in the USA "prefer Folgers".

It says that US supermarket sales of Folger's coffee are higher than supermarket sales of Starbucks Coffee. No surprise there.

Starbucks stores boom on many a city and suburban corner. Plenty of Starbucks Coffee -- and zero Folger's -- is sold there.

"Where do Americans buy their premium coffee?" is the Unasked Question there.......
