Has anyone found that actual coconut, not just the oil, is beneficial or safe for them? I feel so good when I eat it. |

Hmmm..... I am also wondering about this. When I first eliminated dairy from my diet, I learned to make an amazing chocolate coconut milk custard. My family loves it.
Now it has been swamied out of my life. I still have many cans of coconut milk. The others in my family haven't done swami or BTD, so they can eat coconut with impunity! |

Yeah! I can't imagine it being bad for all people, especially island people. It has some of the same components as breast milk for goodness sakes. |

Coconut oil is a bennie for nomads and I believe, O nonnies (from what I read in some previous posts).
I eat coconut oil from time to time to keep my candida under control and for energy. As a nomad, my body craves fats and cheese. Coconut oil has been nothing but a blessing for me. |

I have an underactive thyroid and was told by a lot of Nutrition investigating people that it has helped them with their thyroid problems. But anything Coconut is off-limits for AB people like me.I invested in Organic coconut oil and spread and I don't feel anything adverse. But then I am not very fine-tuned like some of you guys out here. |

Is this per SWAMI, or just the AB diet? When I got SWAMI, it made coconut oil beneficial. Coconut meat and milk are still avoids, though. |

I not talking about just the oil, but the entire coconut, meat, and all. It's an ideal food for some, and cassava for example, is supposed to be an avoid, but ancient Papua New Guinean tribes have been eating it and are healthier than we are. |

ABJoe, it's not per SWAMI, but per BTD. I am going to get finger printed by the Police as soon as they are open for non-emergencies on Tuesday so I can finish my SWAMI |

If that is all you are lacking, you may want to set all the fingerprint patterns to composite and run SWAMI to get a preliminary idea of what your results will be like. |

C_sharp, I still have no secretor status or taster status, I am making an appointment with the Oncologist on Tuesday and request that he type my Secretor Status because I read an article on Google Scholar that said that secretor status is important to people with cancer, Leukemia actually. So as soon as get the prints I will continue my journey into SWAMI Land |

ooooh, I am super jealous! You get coconut meat as a neutral! You are so lucky! I love coconut...I'd love to be able to use coconut flour in baking. Alas, SWAMI pro has it listed as a toxin. Coconut oil is a neutral for me now. My SWAMIx listed it as a beneficial...But my new SWAMI pro from Dr. D downgraded it. I'm wondering if you got coconut meat and oil because you're a nonnie....and I'm not. |

I guess it's not a non-secretor thing that some As get coconut meat and others don't. That's what is so interesting about a SWAMI.....No two people of the same genotype get the same diet. |

I am a nonsecretor. My SWAMI GenoType report lists Coconut oil as neutral and coconut meat as a black dot.
I went back and checked my original SWAMI report and Coconut meat was a black dot avoid. I don't know if it moved to neutral bc of time passing or bc of the additional information that I added later. So it could be a nonnie thing? I don't know --------------- I just checked the BTD listing for Coconut Meat and A nonnies are the only ones with it as a neutral - all others are listed avoid. |

Lovely! We can't always listen to our taste buds, because I use to love bread and corn, and those are the two biggest avoids for Os |
