DESCRIPTION: I noticed a change within one week in energy, well-being, weight loss (although weight was not the key problem), digestion, and joint/muscle aches. I am starting to feel better now than I have felt my whole life (I am 48 years old). I know this is not the forum for questions, but Dr. D'Adamo has temporarily closed his question/answer board on the web site.1. Is it possible for a Type O to get protein ONLY from soy? My husband (also Type O) and I are vegetarians for ethical reasons. I have started to eat eggs and fish in addition to soy, but he can not go against his conscience.2. On page 87 in ER4YT, Dr. D'Adamo says to "avoid using a vitamin B formula that contains yeast". We have been using Red Star Nutritional Yeast in our diet. It is "primary grown nutritional yeast from pure strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae grown on mixtures of beet and cane molasses. When fermentation is complete, the yeast is harvested, thoroughly washed, pasteurized, and dried on roller drum dryers." Nutritional Yeast Cookbook by J. Stepaniak3. On page 54 of ER4YT, Dr. D'Adamo states that cabbage, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, inhibit thyroid hormone. Is this true if the vegetables are cooked? I read in Healthy Healing by L.R.Page that cooking "goitrogens" or foods that prevent the use of Iodine (cabbage, turnips, peanuts, mustard pine nuts, millet, and soy) inactivates the goitrogens. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR HELPING US WITH THESE QUESTIONS.
