  • Side Dish

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups rice flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder [baking powder recipes]
  • brown sugar - as much or as little as you like [or BTD compliant substitute]
  • 1 - 2 cups nut milk
  • 3 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 egg

How to make it:
  1. Mix the dry.
  2. Beat the egg and add the wet.
  3. Better the waffle batter be too thick than thin. You'll figure it out after the first batch.
  4. Reheat in toaster if possible.
  5. Buckwheat, amaranth, millet waffles: Use the exact same recipe but use more buckwheat flour. Add cinnamon and allspice.
  6. If you choose to substitute water for the nut milk, watch out - if it gets too thin your waffles will not pop out of the 'non stick ' waffle maker. They will tear apart instead (the voice of experience......)

    Please Note:

Cook Right For Your Type is the definitive cookbook for those following the Blood Type Diet. When using any recipe, always check it for avoids and make the appropriate adjustments where necessary. The Blood Type Diet Recipe Database has recently been greatly enhanced. Also, the food lists changed somewhat a few years ago, and all recipes in the database may not reflect those changes in terms of the blood types for which the recipes are recommended.

Volunteer Blood Type Diet Forums Members are working to review and update all the recipes to take advantage of all the new features and food lists. Please be patient until the process has been completed.
