General applicability:

Katerbean's Almond Cookies
Green: recipe contains only neutral or a beneficials ingredients for that type.
Yellow: recipe contains an secondary avoid ingredient that may be substituted by a more permissable one.

Ingredient list:
  • 1 cup almonds, ground to flour [or use a BTD compliant substitute]
  • 1 cup spelt flour, whole grain or unbleached [or use a BTD compliant substitute]
  • 1 cup oats, ground to flour [or use a BTD compliant substitute]
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup [or use a BTD compliant substitute]
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • compliant jam (blueberry, apricot)


How to make it:
  • Mix first 5 ingredients.
  • Roll into walnut sized balls.
  • Either flatten them on a cookie sheet and leave them plain, or put an indention in them with your thumb and put some jam in the indention.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes until golden.
