Live Red Onion and Pine Nut Topping
Description:
Use this 'Live Food' atop hearty bean soups. Sprinkle on borscht or pasta dishes. Sprinkle over salads.
Ingredients:- 1 medium red onion, minced
- 1/2 cup pine nuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon canola oil [or olive oil]
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup [or agave]
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- sea salt to taste
How to make it:- Mix all ingredients.
- Refrigerate for 24 hours.
