Rice pie crust
Description:
Pie crust for pies, quiche, or casseroles.
Ingredients:- 2 cups cooked rice, white or brown
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or farmer)
- 1/4 cup sugar (omit for savory pie)
How to make it:- Preheat oven at 350 F.
- Grease 10 inch pie pan.
- In a bowl mix all ingredients.
- Take 2/3 of the mixture and spread over bottom and sides of pan, pressing lightly to form crust.
- Fill pie shell with pie filling.
- Take remaining rice mixture, distribute evenly over top of pie (optional).
- Sprinkle sugar and spice on top when making a sweet version. [nons use a BTD compliant substitute]
- Bake for an hour.
- Let cool before cutting.
