Seasoned Tempeh

Description:

A versatile way to prepare tempeh.

Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces Tempeh
  • MARINADE
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoons soy sauce (I use Tamari)
  • 1 Tablespoon water
  • + teaspoon ground fennel
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil to cook (I use olive oil)
  • salt and pepper
  • SUBSTITUTION

  • For a Mexican taste: substitute + teaspoon cumin and teaspoon oregano instead of the fennel.
  • For an Italian taste, substitute + teaspoon basil
  • For a Greek taste, substitute + teaspoon oregano and + teaspoon dried mint.
How to make it:
  1. Cut Tempeh in cubes or strips.
  2. Marinate until liquid is absorbed.
  3. Saute 7 to 10 minutes in the vegetable oil.
  4. Use in soups, salads, stews or tortillas.
