Seasoned Tempeh
Description:
A versatile way to prepare tempeh.
Ingredients:- 8 ounces Tempeh
- MARINADE
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce (I use Tamari)
- 1 Tablespoon water
- + teaspoon ground fennel
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil to cook (I use olive oil)
- salt and pepper
SUBSTITUTION - For a Mexican taste: substitute + teaspoon cumin and teaspoon oregano instead of the fennel.
- For an Italian taste, substitute + teaspoon basil
- For a Greek taste, substitute + teaspoon oregano and + teaspoon dried mint.
How to make it:- Cut Tempeh in cubes or strips.
- Marinate until liquid is absorbed.
- Saute 7 to 10 minutes in the vegetable oil.
- Use in soups, salads, stews or tortillas.
