The perfect energy snack for Type O (highly beneficial)

  • 1-1/4 cups black walnuts
  • 3/4 cup dried figs
  • 1 vanilla bean, scraped (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
  • 2 heaping Tablespoons carob powder
  • 2 Tablespoons agave nectar
How to make it:
  1. In food processor, grind walnuts into fine meal.
  2. Coarsely chop figs, add to nuts and pulse until combined.
  3. Add vanilla, carob and agave.
  4. Pulse until dough forms.
  5. Shape into approximate 12 inch log, roll in plastic wrap.
  6. Refrigerate for a few hours.
  7. Bring to room temp before serving.
  8. Cut into about 1/2 inch slices.
