DESCRIPTION: On August 5,1999, after exploratory surgery and a hysterectomy, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, with some slight salt & pepper spread to other organs. A few weeks later I had a CA-125 Cancer marker bloodtest that came back as a 45. This is when I also became aware of my blood type (B). I immediately switched my diet where previously my entire diet, while almost entirely organic, was comprised of the "Avoid" foods for type B's. In addition to the diet change, I also received Korean Reiki-type treatments, intense psychotherapy, and prayed like crazy. Though I opted for Chemotherapy with strong nutritional, emotional and spiritual support, before I began the chemo, I had another CA-125 test and this time it came back as a 12, then an 8! After 4 rounds of chemo, it has been at 5. This is the lowest the technology can measure, I am told. I have stuck to the B diet 99% with occasional sugar or wheat indulgences...only very rarely. I know that I have done a huge amount of inner work on attitude, etc, but I cannot help feeling that the dietary change had to have had a huge impact. I am interested in any dietary information for type B's with cancer...is it different than for "regular" B's? I am not sure if this is the type of lab result you refer to.
