Characterization Notes:Binding experiments using biotinylated lectin revealed that it specifically recognizes and binds to mannose on the surfaces of two salmon pathogens, Vibrio anguillarum and Aeromonas salmonicida, implying an immunological role for this lectin in Atlantic salmon.
