IFHI 2011 FACULTY: ERIC MORRISON
Of his six brothers, Eric was the only one who succumbed to frequent illnesses. Though his family health history was genetically sound, he managed to be the first to build a résumé that consisted of chronic bronchitis and seasonal allergies. After many years of frequent doctor’s visits and doses of antibiotics, Eric found the work of Dr Peter D’Adamo at a trip to the local health food store after returning from a two-year mission trip to Mexico. There he picked up Eat Right for Your Type, which he says resonated to him as a logical-sounding diet system that had the potential to reverse his near-debilitating development of digestive disorders.
Shortly after starting the diet, he moved to Austin with the intention of matriculating into the University of Texas’s Engineering program. However, as his health continued to dramatically improve, he discovered that his passion for engineering had been replaced by a fascination with biology and health sciences. Now an undergraduate at Boise State University, Eric plans to finish his Health Science degree by 2012, after which he hopes to be accepted into the Naturopathic program at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. His dream is to reach to others and provide what has been given to him - health and hope.
He has certified as both Fellow and Master of the IƒHI, and was granted the privilege of speaking at the 2010 Mini-conference hosted by Larry Nesbit, MIFHI in Nashville. Eric plans to spend his life intricately involved with the work of Dr D’Adamo, and hopes to take part in the transformation of medicine.
