68. I found I did not have the 'peaks and valleys' I used to in terms of energy and mood. Adding more protein to each meal and snack smoothed things out and I found I wasn't eating as often (previously, I'd always felt hungry and was eating lots of complex carbs, thinking that was the cause of my lack of energy). Although I'd wanted to lose weight I did not 'diet' but focused instead on WHAT I was eating. I ended up losing about 13 pounds in 1 year and never felt deprived, never really felt as if I were on a diet. My mood was much, much better and my energy was incredible.
