For the last year or so I've followed an Atkins type high protein/low carb diet. It's worked really well, high energy levels, quick weight loss when I've been strict, but somehow it doesn't feel healthy.
In fact it worked so well that the thought of giving up meat and cheese really gave me a problem accepting the Eat Well 4 your type plan, I was convinced I was a type O. My blood type is A.When I read the book it struck a real note, but I do worry about the intake of carbs I'm supposed to be able to handle. I want to give it a go, but frankly having lost a load of post baby blub, I'm not prepared to see it creep back.
If anybody has guidelines as to how to combine Atkins/Zone with Eat well... I'd be very interested to hear your advice.
One last word about the Zone. Yes, it sounds pretty good, but there's so much working out to do. I did a test run at the Supermarket to check out new foods and it took me FOREVER. I hope it works for some people, but it won't work for me as it stands I'm afraid.
