His quotation is so true to form: "Use your health,
even to the point of wearing it out (he was
pruning a tree at 94!). That is what it is for.
Spend all you have before you die, and do not
outlife yourself."
As for his health, he suffered from chronic
migraines, which may have had nothing to do with
his being a vegetarian. Regarding meat, he once
said that when served meat, he didn't want his
stomach to be a burial ground for dead animals.
