Hi Cherie, Thanks--I've had Protein Power out from the library but only managed to read a couple of chapters. I'll have to get it back. I'm still a vegetarian. I know that not as much stomach acid is needed for a vegetarian diet, so that's a factor to consider. The fillings in your teeth can supposedly affect the vagus nerve which is involved in hydrochloric acid production too.--Mary Jackson
