Lamb's Quarters (Chenopodium album) herb, Experiences? Opinion?
Posted By: OJoan Date: June-08, 1998 at 08:47:42
While hunter-gathering, I found a particularly delicious sample of lamb's quarters (green leafy plant), a stalk of which I kept in a glass of filtered water in the fridge for a week, and it still tasted great. It's a veggie recommended for those of us dealing with breast cancer (per Susun S. Weed's book, "Breast Cancer? Breast Health!") but it's not on the ER4YT food lists. Since the same or a related Chenopodium was found in Mound Builder sites in Ohio, before they switched to corn and got sick, I am hoping that lamb's quarters is a Neutral to Highly beneficial food for us all. The other Chenopodium is C. quinoa, which is the source of the flour. Joan
