If the sores are caused by herpes simplex, you might try the diet suggestions listed in the following link: http://www.herpes.com/Nutrition.shtml I have been using this diet for several years and have not had a cold sore at all except once when I used a certain cosmetic that had some kind of collagen in its formula.
When I mixed this diet with ER4YT, I really got well. Also, there are other kinds of sores (white patches inside the mouth) that are a vitamin B deficiency. Hope this helps.
