Welcome! The Type A board (from the main page) will be especially helpful, and the archived Type A boards (under "Archives & Other Arcana," from the main page) are wonderful resources.
Happy to say, it's pretty simple to start the diet at your own pace. Compare your current food choices with the beneficial & neutral items on the A list. If you find that some of your current staples are avoids, try to 'slide' over to replacing them with similar foods that are beneficial or neutral. If there are 'avoid' foods you eat often but don't really care about - eliminate them. The single thing you may find most helpful (and which you may hear most often! ;-)) is "Drink Lots of Pure Water!!" In ER4YT you will come across several instances of Dr. D'Adamo encouraging a balanced, temperate and kind approach toward the body as you make adjustments. It's a wise philosophy. The link below is to a great post by Bob Trent -- it addresses some specifics for type O's, but contains valuable advice for anyone starting out. Have a ball! cheerio heidi
