The Dr. writes that dairy products cause the glands to produce mucus in the body. Besides a description of the feeling in the back of the throat, I have never been able to find out from anyone who makes this claim exactly what they mean. In addition, as far as I know none of the research on the subject supports this claim. So, what part of milk affects the mucus secreters like this, the sugar, fat, water, or vitamin D - or is there something else in milk?
