Indican Test/Lectin Test
Posted By: Phil
Hmmmmm, an extensive search of the internet to learn more about the Indican test only turned up a few items from this message board. Most of them were about how difficult the test is to obtain. Even Dr. A. states the test is only an indication of protein malabsorption or "bowel putrefication" which I take to mean "slow transit time with decomposition". Is there a more direct way to measure Lectin Intake or the efficacy of this eating plan? Can someone lead me to some science to support this information? Parts of it make sense to me on an intuitive level, but I'm not sure I want to give up a lot of my favorite foods if there is no way to tell if the plan is "working". I have the book and have read these boards extensively already. Convince me!!!!
