In Response To: eating (drinking) clay (Louise)
I was wondering if the book recommends doing the clay for any specific period of time, so as to not accidentally absorb other nutrients that you might want to keep? The kind of clay (kaolinite) used in kaopectate has a relatively low cation exchange capacity (CEC of 3-15) so it does not drag off much in the way of Calcium and Magnesium (cations), but I wasn't able to find the CEC for bentonite in my home library (!) to make a guess at what it might be doing along those lines.
