For most test results the LDL is calculated indirectly from other components. Total cholesterol - HDL - triglycerides/5 = LDL For example: 117 - 40 - 110/5 = 55 77 - 22 = 55 By the way, see ER4YT p.260 about which blood types are likely to have low cholesterol due to high alkaline phosphatase in the small intestine!
