The Blood Type Diet Archives Volume 4
Re: Geeze! Mine has always hovered between 100-110.

I think 110 is probably too low. Three years ago, I had just become very ill, partly I believe from following a vegetarian diet for 4 yrs. At that time, my cholesterol was 111. My nutritionist said that she gasps when she sees such a low level; it is a sign of severe protein deficiency, she said. She also said cholesterol is part of the body's "defense," is as important is the immune system in this regard.
Based on her advice, I started eating meat again, and w/o realizing it, more or less following the O diet (about 95%). Since that time my cholesterol is up to 148. Someone recently posted that he'd gone from very, very sick to very sick, and finally to just sick. I'd say I've gone from very, very sick to very sick, so I suppose that's progress. The O diet (even though I didn't realize I was doing it) has made the most difference, I think.
