He published a book in 1983 called "Dr. Abravanel's Body Type Diet and Lifetime Nutrition Plan." He divided people into four types (gonadal, adrenal, thyroid and pituitary) according to the shape of the body, food cravings, and I can't remember what else. Each type has a special time of day to eat, special foods, and a special tea. He wrote a book in 1990 called "Dr. Abravanel's Anti-Craving Weight Loss Diet," which I found impossible to use. It was full of so much information on what to eat that even when I put it in a chart on the computer it was hopeless. I think most people are referring to his first book when they bring him up. I friend of mine is in his 80's, has been on Abravanel's diet for many years, says it saved his life, and still hikes 4000+ feet elevation for a day hike.
