RIGHT ARM, Ed, right arm!
I, too, believe (and have for many years) that one's health and well being are one's own responsibility. And, yes, in the field of health care, the 'experts' have grown exponentially in the past 50 yrs (same philosophy holds true for education as well, but that's a whole 'nother soapbox)
I am encouraged by the growth of individual effort to maintain themselves through knowledge and practice. Ultimately everything is a matter of choice, and I feel more and more of us are choosing more wisely. Physicians are falliable (sp?) also, and no one can know you as well as you know yourself.
And I, also, arrived here because all the stuff I had been doing for many years which had been working quite well, suddenly wasn't working as well, and I felt less healthy. Since adopting this plan, I have felt much better, and now understand why some things that I intuitively felt were incorrect for me, actually are.
The understanding is what really helps keep me on this plan, because I know it's fundamental, not arbitrary.
Anyway, I also wanted to mention (since I have seen some negative remarks made in your direction), that I appreciate your level of knowledge and your willingness to share that information with us.
So here's an ATTA BOY! in case you haven't had one recently.
