I can tell you've never had a baby! I rollerblade, which seems like the best way to use my legs and butt, BUT I think the muscle in my stomach got streched when I was so HUGELY pregnant. So I need a way to tighten up that muscle. This is my second baby. With the first baby I lost a lot of weight riding my bike and my stomach did shrink, but the shape never changed until I started doing crunches. So I know they help. What I need to know is the most effective way to do them to make the most of each crunch.
