Proud of being Southern

I think being Southern is great. Southerners are really cool. In the South I know, people have great connections with family and extended family. When I was young, family reunions were the best and still are. The food is great, too. Also, many Southerners were NOT slave owners and worked hard for a living. Many of us helped with the Underground Railroad and marched and worked for Civil Rights and still do. Also, there is ALWAYS the potential for healing and race relations are improving every day. My family is multiracial and we're doing great, as are many multiracial and uniracial families. Life is good in the South.
