In Response To: Re: celiac & blood type (Sarah)

According to the experts in celiac disease, there is a much higher rate of celiac disease in people with Type 1 diabetes then in the general population. In Dr. D's book he says "Blood Type A and Type B are more prone to Type 1 diabetes..." Sarah, or anyone with more information on CD's prevalence in blood type please email me. I'm not possessive, I would gladly let blood Type O have this disease.
Dr. D how can I find out more about the link between lectins and celiac disease? I am a blood type A and am in the process of doing a gluten challenge before my intestinal biopsy next month. I want to know how to ensure the "success"(a contradiction in term!) of the biopsy results so all this suffering is not in vain!
