In Response To: celiac & blood type (Colby)
I have celiac disease and am a type O; from what I've heard, type Os are more highly represented among Celiacs than any of the other blood types. I do know that following the type O diet has helped tremendously, depite limiting food choices even further. I'm not sure, for instance, if avoiding potatoes and corn (and flours of each) is as crucial for a celiac type O than for a non-celiac type O, especially since we have to avoid "all" gluten, including sprouted wheat, rye and barley. Doesn't leave us much choice in the grains category.
