Thanks, I have just ordered the book. I also came across an article on fish in the Feb 1992 issue of consumer reports. It says that according to their tests, 43% of salmon contained PCB's, 90% of swordfish contained mercury, an occassional sample of catfish contained pesticides, some clam samples were high in lead, 50% of lake whitefish contained PCB's. Flounder and sole were virtually free from pollutants. They also did microbiological tests for fecal coliform and found that 55% of the fish tested were in an acceptable range, 22% were contaminated, 7% were so contaminated that there was cause for alarm, and 15% were potentailly hazardous. I wish we humans would wake up to what we are doing to the world around us.
