Here is another case of one person's supplement is another person's poison. Dr. Jefferies fine work on low dosage glucocorticoid therapy has been around since the 1960s. When I asked my doctor about using it in 1986 to strengthen my adrenals and speed the cure of candida, he told me I was nuts. Apparently, candida loves cortisol and many other corticosteroids, and taking such supplements can be a predisposing condition for a candida flareup. For confirmation, see The Yeast Syndrome, p.62, and The Yeast Connection, p. 58. Therefore, I would be cautious about recommending it to anyone who might be a candida candidate.
