Dr. Walker's book on Olive Leaf Extract lists several sources. My wife and I are using the Nature's Plus brand prophylactically. Try to get a 500mg potency, since that seems to be the standard used in the book.
While I normally do not recommend supplements without having thoroughly tested them myself, I made an exception in this case because Dr. Walker is also the co-author with Dr. Trowbridge of "The Yeast Syndrome", a book which I credit as having saved my life in 1986 and unknowingly set me on the road to the O type diet. As you will see in this book, he now believes that Olive Leaf Extract is the supplement of choice to wipe out Candida (along with CFIDS and FM), since it is so non-toxic and more effective than any previous supplement or prescription antifungal. He also cites evidence in the form of a May 1997 Townsend Letter that it is more effective than acyclovar in suppressing genital herpes. Is it all true? Time will tell. In the meanwhile, I would not set foot inside a hospital without having dosed up on it.
I would also like to apologize to Dr. D for using his web site to discuss another author's book. On the positive side, there is no doubt in my mind that without the proper diet, none of this stuff will work.
