I can only offer my experience here. In the early 80's I did coffee enemas very frequently for about two or three years...using a surgical grade organic coffee. I ended up with pre-cancerous rectal polyps which I had to have removed. I feel it was from the coffee enemas. I stopped doing them and have never had a problem since. I am type A. I would say that they were no less stimulating than drinking cofee despite the fact that the alternative chiropractor who was treating me said it would not be. The only person I know who actually did the Gerson therapy died. A population of one does not a statistical study make. Thought I'd pass on the information nonetheless. Good luck.
