The corollary to this is cAMP is depressed in low immune function states. For example, Herpes Zoster (shingles) is often helped with injections of adenosine monophosphate, vitamin C and the herb Coleus forskolin, all of which raise cAMP. I have used Boswella in my practice for several years. It is an Ayurvedic herb and is often efficacious in arthritis and asthma, but usually requires a bit of time.
